Introduction to Bookbinding

Join master bookbinder and conservator Gerald Ward of Bibliopathologist for a series of engaging, hands-on bookbinding workshops designed for both beginners and experienced makers. Whether you’re new to bookbinding or looking to refine your skills, these workshops will explore historical and contemporary techniques through guided instruction and practical application.

All necessary tools and materials will be provided, though participants are welcome to bring their own decorative materials for customization.

Introduction to Bookbinding: Get started with the basics! Learn the history, tools, and materials of bookbinding, then craft two styles of notebooks—a pamphlet stitch and a chain stitch—perfect for journaling or sketching. COST: $50
